Moyne Athletics Club had a number of athletes competing in the Streets of Kilkenny 5k road race on Thursday night last.
In a huge field, in which 896 athletes crossed the finish line, Dylan Mcloughlin set another personal best for the 5k distance  crossing the line in 15.57 minutes and finishing 35th.
Mindy Doyle had another outstanding run dipping under the 25 minutes for the first time and completing the course in a new PB of 24.41 minutes. Louise Cunningham crossed the line at 25.47 minutes. Noelette Troy completed the roster of Moyne AC athletes, all of whom started out with the Fit4Life group eighteen months ago.
Well done to all.

This Saturday, April 26th, sees the Moyne AC open track & field day with an 11am start time.

This club says it's an ideal opportunity for athletes to get in some practice before the County Championships and to also introduce young athletes to sprinting, middle distance, long jump, turbo javelin, shot put, and the always exciting relays.

Athletes can enter up to two events plus a relay. Entry and Admission on the day is €5 per juvenile and €5 per adult.

Athletics Ireland Permit Approved.  All clubs and individual’s welcome.
