Cashel King Cormacs won the Division 1 County Feile over the weekend after a closely fought game against Newport.

The game ended with Cashel scraping a win, with a final scoreline of 1-05 to 0-07.

The club will go on to represent Tipperary in the National Feile, taking place in June of this year.

Long serving Tipperary GAA secretary Tommy Barrett had his memory honoured over the course of the weekend, with the Division 1 Tipperary Feile na nGael trophy being named in his honour.

The Thurles man was a founding member of Feile na nGael, along with Seamus O Riain and Eamon De Stafort in 1971.
