Gamers around the world are being given the chance to swap their virtual villages for a real-life Tipperary landmark, as Lisheen Castle in Moyne has been selected as the top prize in a major Clash of Clans competition launched today.
The global contest, dubbed “The Real Town Hall”, invites players of the hit mobile game to upgrade their in-game Town Hall (TH8 and above) and show it off on social media. One winner will receive a four-week stay in Lisheen Castle, complete with flights, transfers and even a personal chef.
The competition opens today, 19 November at 12pm Eastern Time, and runs until 3 December. Supercell, the Finnish company behind Clash of Clans, will announce the winner on 12 December. Notably, the winner will also be able to bring up to three guests to enjoy their month-long stay in Moyne.

To enter, players must post a screenshot of their upgraded Town Hall to Instagram, TikTok or X (Twitter), tagging Clash of Clans and using the hashtag #TheRealTownHall. Each Clash account can only enter once per platform, though players with multiple accounts are encouraged to “flex their upgrades”.
Lisheen Castle, located just outside Thurles, has long been a popular self-catering venue, but its appearance as the prize in a global gaming competition is expected to shine an international spotlight on the Moyne area.
Alongside accommodation, the prize includes:
Round-trip flights from the winner’s nearest international airport to Dublin
Ground transfers to and from the castle
A personal chef providing up to three meals a day
Additional activities and beverages are not included.
The winner will be selected at random, provided they meet eligibility rules: they must live in a country where Clash of Clans is officially available, be of legal age, hold an active account and submit their upgraded Town Hall within the contest window. AI-generated images are not permitted.
Full details and terms and conditions are available on Supercell’s website.
