Rev E. Kelly and other Maynooth priests in WW1
New Inn native, Rev Edmond Kelly was one of the Maynooth graduates who served as army chaplains in World War 1.
Join us in The Source, Thurles on Tuesday October 16th at 7.30pm when Barbara McCormack will offer an insight into the lives and military careers of these men and will discuss the wider role of Maynooth College in the recruitment of Catholic army chaplains. This talk is the first in the present Tipperary People and Places Lecture Series, hosted by Tipperary County Council Library Service. Admission is free and all welcome. See you on 16th at 7.30pm.
