Tipperary Dance Festival 2026 announces vibrant programme

The Tipperary Dance Festival takes place from 7 October to 16 October 2026.
Tipperary Dance Festival returns this October with a vibrant programme bringing international and Irish dance artists, local communities and audiences together across County Tipperary.
From contemporary dance performances to workshops, participation projects, professional events and artist residencies, the festival invites everyone to experience, engage with and celebrate dance.
The 2026 programme features artists and companies from Ireland and beyond, presenting work that explores ideas of identity, belonging, connection, resistance and what it means to live together.
There are many highlights for people to enjoy during this year’s festival listed below:
An Immigrant's Story – Wanjiru Kamuyu
Saturday 10 October | 20:00 | The Source Arts Centre, Thurles
In An Immigrant's Story, Wanjiru Kamuyu explores notions of place, belonging and otherness. A cosmopolitan on three continents – Africa, North America and Europe – she asks: wherever she decides to make a home, is she considered an immigrant?
Los Perros – Led Silhouette & Marcos Morau
Thursday 8 October | 20:00 | The Source Arts Centre, Thurles
Los Perros (The Dogs) is a call for resistance against an uncertain and increasingly dehumanising world. The dogs wander, find each other and recognise themselves as vulnerable. They share joy and pain; they fall and get up, dance and rebel.
The festival say that there’s something for everyone on the week and that the programme includes opportunities for:
General audiences to experience contemporary dance.
Families and young people to discover dance together.
Schools to participate in dance experiences.
Local communities to take part in creative projects.
Professional artists to develop their practice and connect with others.
Anyone curious about dance to participate, regardless of previous experience.
The Tipperary Dance Festival takes place from 7 October to 16 October 2026.
