A primary school in Tipperary is seeking permission to build multiple new extensions on their premises
A primary school in Tipperary has applied for permission to build multiple new extensions on their premises in Thurles.
The application was submitted on July 1 by the Board of Management at St Michael's National School with an address in Holycross, Thurles.
The school plans to construct a single storey extension and alterations to existing front entrance, as well as two other single storey extensions to the rear of the existing school building.
They also plan to demolish the existing prefabricated building that is currently on school grounds.
St Michael's National School is a mixed-gender primary school and has around 200 students enrolled in the school.
Tipperary County Council is scheduled to make a decision on the proposal by August 25 2026.
