Katie Russell who plays the part of Cinderella in Tipperary Pantomime’s production of Cinderella.
Tipperary Pantomime Society will present the much loved fairytale Cinderella in the Simon Ryan Theatre, Tipperary Excel from Wednesday to Saturday, January 18-21.
This is the first production by the Society since 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic put paid to all such productions.
The members are delighted to be back with the fairytale of all fairytales. A story of rags to riches, of make believe, full of beautiful costumes and sets, with wonderful singing, dancing and of course comedy.
With upwards of 100 involved in this production the cast have been rehearsing since the end of September and they are really anxious to get started.
The excitement of getting back on stage is huge and the cast are really looking forward to presenting this their 37th production.
Katie Russell is playing the part of Cinderella, while opposite her Stephen Stokes is Prince Charming.
Of course no pantomime is complete without the Dame and once again the hilarious Pat Ryan will fill the part with the Ugly Sisters played by Lorraine Kennelly and Sabrina Cummins.
This trio get up to all kinds of tricks on stage and their antics are sure to have the audiences in howls of laughter.
With many other characters taking part it promises to be a feel good family show with the best of local talent. The junior and senior cast along with the principal characters have worked hard to put the finishing touches and a wonderful show is guaranteed.
