A Tipperary councillor is urging Uisce Éireann to urgently deal with a leak in Tipperary Town.
On Friday, Cllr Annemarie Ryan said: "We have a major leak in on Davis Street for over 48 hours at this stage, with nobody fixing it or at least making the road safe.

"Tipperary County Council please can you assist regarding road safety asap.
"This is such poor service from Uisce Éireann, we have a major water leak and damage to a key road in Tipp Town, so much so that part of the road seems to be sinking.

"Please avoid the water leak on Davis Street, it's causing the road to collapse in places.
"I've contacted the emergency roads section to section off that area."
The councillor said the "irony" of the leak occurring as Uisce Éireann issued a public appeal for water conservation in the Premier County.
