Tipperary Roads Policing Unit (RPU) gardaí intercepted four vehicles in Tipperary Town on Saturday following Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) alerts for no insurance.

The patrol stopped an initial vehicle before intercepting a second shortly afterwards. While dealing with the second motorist, two further vehicles were stopped and were also found to be uninsured.

Gardaí said three of the four motorists had multiple offences.

All four vehicles were seized and court proceedings are to follow.
