Preparations are underway for a popular fundraising event in Tipperary in the coming weeks.
The Darkness Into Light walk will return to Tipperary Town in May, with organisers out in force to make sure that the popular event runs as planned.
Registrations for the walk, which sees participants walk into the sunrise in aid of Pieta House, are now open, with the last day for guaranteed t-shirt delivery coming on April 30, ahead of the sunrise walk on May 10.
The walk will start at 4.15am on May 10, from Sean Treacy Park in Tipp Town, heading through the town, and out towards the Galbally Road, and back in to the town by Scallagheen, before eventually finishing up back at Sean Treacy Park.
Last year's Darkness Into Light walk in Tipperary Town raised €7,261 for Pieta House, which goes towards the charity's services aimed at preventing suicide and self-harm.
