Dundrum Athletic Club’s Barry Quinn completed the Kerry Way Ultra Lite 2026 last weekend

Congratulations to Dundrum Athletic Club’s Barry Quinn on completing the Kerry Way Ultra Lite 2026 in a hugely impressive 7 hours and 18 minutes, finishing 44th out of 194 participants.

The Kerry Way Ultra Lite was held on Saturday September 5 and is a 58km distance running the official Kerry way. Starting in Sneem, runners head through Templenoe and on to Kenmare, tackling rocky mountain paths, forest tracks, boggy sections, ocean cliff edges and rural roads. The final stretch passes through Killarney National Park and finishes via Torc waterfall and into the racecourse.

Well done to Barry on this tremendous feat, a huge amount of training and effort was no doubt involved to get to this point.
