Alert! Several events cancelled in Tipperary due to destructive Storm Éowyn

Several events have been cancelled across Tipperary as Storm Éowyn is expected to cause nationwide destruction with gusts of 130km/h.

Bingo in Littleton village has been cancelled for this coming Friday, January 24, due to the severe weather warnings.

The Cahir Garda Old Folks Part will also be cancelled due to the storm.

In a post on Facebook, the organising committee said: "For safety reasons, the Cahir Garda Old Folks Party organising committee have made the decision to postpone the event due to the extreme weather that is forecasted from Storm Éowyn.

"The party will instead now be taking place in a week's time on Friday, January 31, at 5pm in Cahir House Hotel."
