Quest Lough Derg is set to take place on the 21 September this year. This event is a one-day multi-sport race and takes place in the hidden heartlands of Ireland in Ballina/Killaloe and all around majestic Lough Derg.
This epic adventure race will see you kayak, cycle, and run across some of Ireland’s most astonishing landscapes. Highlights include; the town of Killaloe, Moylussa mountain, Tountinna Hill, The quaint lakeside town of Garrykennedy, and of course kayaking on Lough Derg under the slopes of the surrounding hills.
There are 4 different route options to suit all levels of fitness:
At a cost of between €120-135, your entry fee covers all the costs associated with staging the event such as marshalling, traffic management, medical support, route development etc. Registration fees cover the following;
– kayak rental & equipment
– fully-marshalled course
– a customised finisher’s medal
– a Quest-branded piece of gear e.g training t-shirt/fleece
– free post-event entertainment and food voucher
– prizes in each category for winners
– a great atmosphere and a fun day out
The race will finish on the banks of Lough Derg adjacent to Flanagan’s on the Lake. There will be recovery facilities and food for all participants.
