The parish of Clonoulty/Rossmore prepares to welcome music lovers from all over the country to its GAA grounds, a perfect venue for a music festival with its elevated view to the lower level pitch.

The West’s Awake is a hugely popular festival and has been a resounding success.

The atmosphere on the day is one of fun and entertainment.

This is due in no small way to the hard working committee, the good will from the parishioners and the support from the surrounding locality.

The safety and comfort of the patrons is of utmost importance to the festival committee at all times.

Full bar and food are provided on the day, and tickets cost €30 plus booking fee.

The gates will open at 12:30pm.

Meet the Bands:

Allie Sherlock
It's a rare occasion where an artist seems to arrive fully formed.

Irish singer/songwriter Allie Sherlock is one such star.

Busking on the streets of Ireland and appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show catapulted here to the hearts of millions.

Allie is amazing having already sold out headline shows across the world and supported acts such as One Republic, Picture This, and Gavin James, and in August will open up for Emeli Sandé in Derry.

Allie has kick-started her career on her own terms with authentic songs that shine a light on the incredible artist that she is.

Hermitage Green
The West’s Awake welcomes back the first main act to perform at the Dillon Quirke GAA grounds.

A folk rock band from Limerick, the lads are real crowd-pleasers.

Formed in 2010, the band have toured the world, and the organisers can't wait to welcome them back to Clonoulty.

Mr Wells
The organiers are excited to announce Mr Wells to the West’s Awake this year.

Hailing from Thurles, the five piece band introduced their own take on soul rock, disco funk motown and pop classics.

A recent fundraiser for the Dillon Quirke Foundation in the Dome was a huge success, mainly down to this fantastic talented group.

Lorcan Kennedy
The first act on stage is a Clonoulty/Rossmore man to the core.

Lorcan is now well known as an accomplished singer/songwriter.

At only 15 years-old, Lorcan is heavily influenced by American country music.

This will be Lorcan's third year and each festival appearance gets better and better.

The Rebel Hearts
An amazing run of eight years in a row for the Rebel Hearts at the West’s Awake.

The lads never fail to entertain, and are as excited about this year as they were for their first appearance.

Expect to hear all your favourite ballads with some new material to top off a great session.

Check out their new song online, called “Dan Breen.”
