There was an unexpected sight on the Cullen to Monard Road in Tipperary on Wednesday afternoon, as a band of dairy cows were spotted wandering along the roadside for nearly half an hour.
With the help of Cllr John O'Heney, the animals made their way down a nearby passage and into a field.

"I’ve placed a gate across the entrance to the passage to keep them in," he said.
It’s unclear at this stage where the cows came from but Cllr O'Heney said: "If any knows where they came from, please make contact with me."
