On Friday May 23, the Borrisoleigh Historical Society will launch its series recordings of the historic village walks that they
conducted over the summer months of last year.
In common with most towns and villages, Borrisoleigh has its own share of history and story that was handed down to us by previous generations.
With the passing of each generation, much of this gets forgotten and lost, depriving future generations of the heritage that
contributes so much to making us what we are as a people.

With this in mind, the society decided to record what we could of the places, people, stories and characters of our village that we could recall from bygone days.
Over the summer of 2024, they organised four historic village walks.
These are now recorded, documented, and preserved for the study and enjoyment of future generations.
The Borrisoleigh Historical Society extend a warm welcome to everyone to join with us on Friday evening 23 rd for our official launch.
