Thousands has been raised on GoFundMe for a young Tipperary woman who has been left with a life-altering condition after suffering a shock spinal bleed.

Aimee, a young woman from Farranasa, Co. Tipperary, was left paralysed from the chest down after suffering a spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma — a rare and life-altering condition that caused severe spinal cord damage between the C5 and C7 vertebrae.

Emergency surgery came too late to prevent permanent injury, and she now lives with quadriplegia.

She faces daily challenges with even basic tasks, and her family is now fundraising to support her recovery and improve her quality of life as she navigates this profound transition.

The campaign, launched by her mother Janet, has already raised over €17,000 towards its €35,000 target.
