A fantastic new mural was completed in recent weeks by artist Neil O'Dwyer of Irish Murals.

The mural is located in the church car park on the gable and adjoining wall of Eddie Hickeys in Mullinahone in south Tipperary.

It brings to life the story of the famous ballad Slievenamon written by Charles J Kickham and the sweet maiden he met in the valley of Slievenamon.

Looking at the mural one is almost transported back in time, such is the detail involved.

It is a most welcome addition to the village landscape and can be enjoyed for years to come by locals and visitors alike.
