Tipperary GAA confirm Liam Cahill will continue as senior hurling manager in 2027

Liam Cahill has been ratified for another term in charge of the Tipperary senior hurling team
Liam Cahill will remain as Tipperary senior hurling manager after being re-ratified by the Tipperary County Board at its meeting on Monday night, securing a new three-year term that will keep him in charge until the end of the 2029 season.
The Ballingarry man received the backing of delegates at the County Board meeting, with the decision ending any uncertainty over who will lead the Premier County into the 2027 campaign.
A major theme of Monday night's announcement was the emphasis on developing the next generation of Tipperary talent, with a strong focus expected to be placed on youth as preparations begin for the 2027 campaign.
Cahill guided Tipperary to All-Ireland glory in 2025 before a disappointing defence of the Liam MacCarthy Cup this year, when the Premier County exited the championship at the Munster round-robin stage.
The ratification provides clarity well in advance of preparations for the 2027 season, with Cahill now set to oversee what is expected to be a period of regeneration as Tipperary look to integrate more of the county's emerging young talent into the senior ranks.
