Nenagh Ormond suffers a second successive defeat in Dublin

Dominant first-half display from Dublin University leaves Nenagh with too much to do as they slip to sixth in Division 1B
Energia All-Ireland League - Division 1B - Round 4
Dublin University 29
Nenagh Ormond 7
Nenagh Ormond slipped to a second successive defeat in Division 1B against an impressive Dublin University side who ran out convincing 29-7 winners at a wet and windy College Park.
Despite the conditions, the home side showed plenty of enterprise and skilful rugby as they scored four unanswered tries in a totally dominant first-half display. Winger James Browne helped himself to a brace, with centre Hugo Lynch and impressive second-rower Jonathon Ginnerty also crossing the whitewash for the students.
Down 26 points at half-time and seemingly out of the contest, Nenagh did improve in the second half and offered some hope with an early Matthew Burke try but were unable to add to that score as the home side effectively put the game out of reach with a Conor Tracey penalty in the final quarter.
In this ultra-competitive division, the win lifts Dublin University into second place, while Nenagh slip to sixth, albeit only four points adrift of leaders Highfield. Nenagh play host to MU Barnhall in round 5 and will be looking for a much better showing as they attempt to get their promotion challenge back on track.
