Tipperary hurling legend celebrates historic success after remarkable championship triumph

Tipperary hurling legend Ken Hogan has added another remarkable achievement to his managerial CV after guiding The Harps to their first-ever Laois Senior Hurling Championship title on Sunday.
The former Premier County goalkeeper, who is in his first season in charge of the Laois outfit, masterminded an emphatic 2-23 to 0-13 victory over Camross at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise, as The Harps created history with a stunning 16-point triumph.
It was a coming-of-age performance from the Durrow-Cullohill club, which had never previously captured the county senior title, and another notable success for Hogan, whose managerial career has now yielded county senior honours with numerous clubs across the Midlands.
The Tipperary native had previously guided Borris-Kilcotton to their maiden Laois senior crown, while he also enjoyed considerable success across the border in Offaly, winning county championships with Birr, St Rynagh's and Coolderry.
Hogan, who also managed the Tipperary senior hurlers for two seasons and guided the county's U21 side to All-Ireland glory in 2010, has once again demonstrated his ability to get the best out of a talented group of players.
The Harps' success was particularly significant given the disappointment they endured in 2025, when relegation from the senior championship's top tier provided a chastening experience for a young squad that had previously enjoyed considerable underage success.
Having won four successive county U20 titles, there was plenty of belief that the club could eventually make the breakthrough at senior level, and Hogan's arrival proved a significant step in that process.
The Harps will now turn their attention to the Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship, where they will represent Laois for the first time as county senior champions.
