At a function held in Dublin last Saturday the Tipperary Person of the Year Award was presented to Olympian Sharlene Mawdsley.
The award was presented to the Newport athlete who made her county and country proud with her astonishing performances at the Olympics by Tom Sherlock, President of the Tipperary Association Dublin.
Sharlene thanked the people of the county and the country for giving her so much support and said she greatly appreciated the level of support shown to her during the year.
