Pauric O seems unstoppable at this point
!!!Spoilers below for Traitors Ireland!!!
How the heck did he get away with that?! Borrisokane Traitors star ‘Pauric O’ has Ireland spiraling after Tuesday night’s infuriating but brilliant episode of The Traitors Ireland.
Pauric’s fate seemed all but certain after Monday night’s episode saw faithful Janet catch him ‘murdering her in plain sight’.
This only seemed more of a guarantee when the first minutes of Tuesday’s episode saw Janet walk into the room full of faithfuls and tell them that Pauric was after murdering her.
To the viewers at home, it truly seemed like nothing could save Pauric and that he would be banished by the end of the night. However, Pauric had other plans.
Now notorious for his ability to sway the faithfuls, Pauric quickly spun the situation into a safety net for himself, saying that because Janet had said that he murdered her in plain sight, now the ‘real’ Traitors would actually murder her tonight and he would get the blame for it.
So, when the next morning came, Pauric had had the night to further flesh out his story and came in in full ‘innocent faithful’ mode.
It was actually shocking how easily he changed the narrative and convinced the faithfuls to look elsewhere, it would nearly remind you of something like The Stanford Prison Experiment!
Janet of course ended up coming back in the morning only to have been revealed to have been murdered in plain sight last night during the challenge.
Despite Janet’s best efforts to stare daggers into Pauric and Carla, the faithfuls were still refusing to look their way.
Even Kayleigh who manages to raise her figurative ‘I hate Pauric O’ flag at least once an episode was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
The only person who seemed to care about Janet saying she was murdered by Pauric O was poor DJ who went for Pauric at the roundtable but then was pretty much scared into voting for Pete because of the heat that Pete had put on him.
Of course it was then poor DJ who was banished from the castle, after being the only person in there that seemed to have used any sort of logic at the round table.
Pauric and Carla on the other hand seemed further than ever from being banished and towards the end of the episode Pauric was already pretty much rubbing his hands together and hatching his dastardly plan to get himself, Ian and Anna to the final...
A maddening but brilliant episode and another impressive outing from the Tipp man Pauric O’Meara.
