The tours are taking place at Carrick-on-Suir’s Ormond Castle daily in the run up to Halloween

Special mystery tours are taking place in Carrick-on-Suir’s Ormond Castle this week for Halloween where visitors are asked to investigate the suspicious death of the 9th Earl of Ormond James Butler in the 16th century.

Tour guide and visual artist Agnieszka Krym and team have transformed the Castle’s historic rooms into an atmospheric Tudor mystery, filled with curious objects, hidden clues, and stories waiting to be uncovered.

The mystery tour is an interactive Halloween experience where you explore the Castle, follow the clues, examine the evidence and try to piece together what really happened to James Butler.

It’s a family-friendly experience for all ages - whether you love history, mystery, storytelling or simply enjoy a good Halloween adventure.

The tours, which are free of charge, began at Ormond Castle yesterday (Monday, October 26) and continue until Sunday, October 31.

They take place at 4.30pm daily.

While they are free, it’s essential to pre-book your place.

You can do so by calling (051) 640787.
