A Tipperary church will feature on RTE’s Nationawide programme this week.

The programme will air on RTE One on Wednesday, August 5 and will be highlighting the recent 100th Anniversary of the Eucharistic procession in Cork.

RTE reporter Colm Flynn will also take time to visit the Holy Family Church in Ardfinnan to report on the Shrine to St Carlo Acutis, which contains the First and Second-Class relics of the saint.

Colm will be looking at the impact the saints relics and shrine have had in the village and he will also be speaking to some young parishioners including Rian and Isobel O’Keeffe, and Milly O’Sullivan on their faith and how the Saint has helped them on their faith journey.

He will also speak to Parish Priest Fr Michael Toomey on how this young saint has re-ignited faith across all ages, and the fact that Fr Toomey has seen an influx of people from across the country to the shrine in Ardfinnan, to pray for St Carlo’s intercession and to be inspired by his young life of faith.

Nationwide will be broadcast on RTE One on Wednesday 5 August at 7pm and will be available on the RTE Player.
