Clonmel students celebrate World Book Day

There was lots of fun and games in Presentation Primary school in Clonmel as staff and pupils marked World Book Day in style on March 3.
Children arrived in a variety of wonderful costumes or cosy pyjamas to enjoy reading their favourite books.
The school became Wonderland for the day as staff joined in the fun dressing up as Alice, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Queen’s

Guards and the Queen of Hearts made an appearance herself, luckily no one lost their head.
Children dressed up as characters from their favourite books. Princesses, wizards and superheroes appeared alongside Peter Pan, Pippi Longstocking and characters created by Roald Dahl and JK Rowling.

Inside classes were busy with older children reading to younger children, table quizzes, projects, drama and art activities.
All week pupils worked on reports or projects on their favourite book or author. The day was a great success with books and a love of reading being promoted throughout the school.
