Rousing Berlin send off for Tipperary Special Olympics athlete

The pupils and staff at Scoil Aonghusa, Cashel threw a going away party for Irish Special Olympics athlete Declan Foley.
Declan is representing Ireland at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin in equestrian.
Declan is a fantastic young man who has trained extremely hard for this event and all pupils and staff in Scoil Aonghusa are very proud of him.

The Irish team consists of 73 athletes, four of which are taking part in equestrian, and their management team. They are at present in Berlin warming up and getting ready for competition.

FLAGS GALORE
The Carrick-on-Suir man will competed in his first event on Wednesday June 21.
The school was decked out in buntings and banners and flags galore. His Mam Kathleen, Dad Michael and Grandad also came along on the day to cheer him off.

DEDICATED COACHES
Declan had a Garda escort through the town along with his coaches Ger Ryan Meagher, Anita Manton and Stephanie Moore who are travelled out to Berlin on Tuesday to support Declan. Everybody in the Scoil Aonghusa community wish Declan and his dedicated coaches the very best in Berlin.
