Tipperary Special Olympian receives a very special welcome home

There was a very special welcome for Special Olympian Declan Foley when he returned home to Carrick-on-Suir after his exploits in Berlin.
His proud neighbours, friends and family in Treacy Park gave Declan a huge welcome home reception.

The Scoil Aonghusa pupils won a silver and bronze medal in equestrian events at the Special Olympics that were held in Berlin.
Sixteen-year-old Declan is a son of Kathleen and Michael.

Great credit is also due to his coaches Ger Ryan Meagher, Anita Manton and Stephanie Moore who have trained Declan for a number of years now along with other pupils in Scoil Aonghusa. A big shout out to Tomas and Fiona Ryan of Tipperary equestrian centre who have supported Declan all of the way.
