Balance Bike Blitz The Dome Thurles

Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that's great about bikes and cycling. It is held over a week in June each year with bike themed events organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups throughout Ireland.
To celebrate Tipperary Bike Week 2018 Tipperary Sports Partnership and Tipperary Childcare Committee organised a Balance Bike Blitz for preschool children who participated in the Wibbly Wobbly Bike Programme.
The Balance Bike Blitz was held in the Dome Thurles on 13th June with 100 preschool children from Réaltoga Moyne, Lámha Beaga, Naíonra Dhúrlas Éile, Clever Clogs, Busy Bees and Little Angels in Thurles participating.
The activities on the morning included road safety, Tour de Tipperary races, a bike workshop by John Dempsey, a balance obstacle course and a talk from Thurles Gardaí.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the community spirit shown by all preschools involved and the volunteers on the day. Well done to all.
