Irish Rail have announced a number of travel restrictions, as well as extra services, ahead of the UEFA Europa League Final this week.

"Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail look forward to welcoming all football fans, and particularly those supporting Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen, on board its services for the UEFA Europa League Final in the Dublin Arena on Wednesday May 22," the national rail provider said in a statement on their website.

"While the UEFA Europa League Final will be a walking event from the city centre, and from designated Fan Meeting Points (FMPs), customers travelling by rail on Wednesday 22nd May, both for the UEFA Europa League Final and other purposes should note the following arrangements".

As part of Garda and UEFA arrangements for the Final, Lansdowne Road DART Station will be closed from 4pm for the remainder of the evening on Wednesday 22nd May.

Customers travelling by DART and Commuter services during this time either for the match, or who would usually use Lansdowne Road Station should note:

-Customers travelling from Dublin city centre or the Northside should travel to/from Grand Canal Dock Station.

-Customers travelling from southside stations should travel to/from Sandymount Station.

-Customers with a mobility impairment should travel to/from Sandymount Station. A shuttle bus will operate between Sandymount Station and Sandymount Hotel exclusively for customers with a mobility impairment.

Extra DART services will operate after the match finishes (including extra-time and penalties if required) to Howth, Malahide, Dublin Connolly, Bray and Greystones.

Valid UEFA Europa League Final match ticket holders can travel for free on DART and within the Dublin Short Hop Zone at any time on Wednesday 22nd May,

Free travel is provided within the City Centre and the below areas on the day of the Final on presentation of a match ticket.
