Tipperary Town athlete is the new national Under 20 Women's Triple Jump champion

Tipperary Town athlete Lucy Fitzgerald has been crowned the new national Under 20 Women's Triple Jump champion.

Lucy claimed the title in blustery conditions in Tullamore with a best jump of 11.17 metres.

She competes for the St Abban's Athletic Club in Crettyard, county Laois.
