Members of the Cahir Active Retirement Association got together last week to enjoy a Spring Lunch in Cahir House Hotel in the first event of the year for the very active group.
Chairperson Cahir Active Retirement Anne Dowling welcomed everyone to the lunch and thanked all those who came along on the day especially National President Mai Mc Quaid who travelled to attend.
With a Mass celebrated beforehand followed by Fr. Fitzgerald, a beautiful lunch and music and dancing with Eddie Golden afterwards the lively group had great fun catching up and everyone enjoyed it immensely (including me by kind invitation!).

As usual there are plenty of activities already lined up for this year and more already running already within the association. There is such enthusiasm amongst this group with many activities, day trips away, a trip to Devon and Cornwall coming up, the boules tournament and classes in the pipeline as the group show that being retired does not mean being inactive at all!
Cahir Active Retirement meets on the first Wednesday of every month, so if anybody is interested in joining or if you would like some more information please call 086 050 7545.
