Swimmers get ready for Carrick-on-Suir's Barry McCarthy Memorial Swim Races

Proceeds from the annual swim races in the River Suir in Carrick-on-Suir will be donated to South Tipperary Hospice

Record entry of competitors for Carrick-on-Suir’s Barry McCarthy Swims

Carrick-on-Suir Triathlon Club will host its annual Barry McCarthy Memorial Charity Swims in the River Suir at Sean Healy Park in Carrick on Saturday, July 19 at 12.30pm. 

The swim race distances are: 500m, 750m and 1,500m and registration from them will open at 11am on July 19. The event is an ideal training day for the swim section of the annual Carrick-on-Suir Triathlon, which takes place on Sunday, July 27. 

Carrick Triathlon Club says there will be spot prizes awarded on the day and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to South Tipperary Hospice Movement.
