The walk is being organised to celebrate the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year. Parishioners of the parishes of Faugheen & Carrick-on-Suir, Grangemockler & Ballyneale, Carrickbeg & Windgap, Kilsheelan & Kilcash, Clonea & Rathgormack are invited to walk from their parish church to gather at St Nicholas Church at 4pm on August 17 where Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan will celebrate a special liturgy.

Refreshments will be served after the liturgy in the Carraig Hotel in Carrick-on-Suir.

The Jubilee Walk for the Faugheen & Carrick-on-Suir Parish will start at the Ahenny High Crosses at 12.45pm that day.

You can join the walk from St Patrick’s Church in Faugheen or from their homes. Alternatively you can just join the liturgy service at St Nicholas Church at 4pm.

Residents of the other parishes should check with their parish for walk departure locations and times.
