Carrick-on-Suir Library hosted workshop on the Celtic Calendar

A Celtic Calendar Workshop took place at Carrick-on-Suir's Seán Healy Public Library for National Heritage Week on August 19 .

Pictured front centre with the workshop participants is Colin Bolger, Celtic Illustrator and Designer, Tipperary.

He explored the ancient Celtic Calendar, the Ogham tree alphabet and the intriguing symbols, myth and folklore linking to our sacred cultural past during the workshop.

Each participant was guided to create and colour their own symbolic Celtic calendars.

The picture was taken by Ballyneale photographer Anne Marie Magorrian.
