A night of music and dancing in the Old Mill Pub in Carrick-on-Suir to celebrate St Patrick’s Day raised over €1,200 for Tipperary University Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and Carrick’s Meals Assistance Services.

Well known local DJ Dermot Mansfield and his partner Teighan Quinlan organised the fundraiser on the Monday night, March 16 with Dermot providing the music entertainment.

The event included a raffle with a large hamper donated by Carrick Meals Assistance Services as one of the main prizes.

“It was a brilliant night; the pub was packed with people. We sold loads of raffle tickets and also sold St Patrick’s Day themed hats at the event,” said Teighan.

The event raised €1,270, which will be divided evenly between the two causes. Teighan said the cheque presentations will be made in the next few weeks.
