FIRST LOOK: Tipperary gardaí and Revenue make significant drug seizure in Tipperary

As part of an intelligence-led operation, gardaí arrested a man and Revenue’s Customs Service seized approximately 10kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €200,000, in Cashel on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Tipperary Divisional Drugs Unit.

Gardaí arrested a man (30s) in connection with this investigation.

He is currently detained at a Garda Station in county Tipperary under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
