BREAKING: Young man seriously injured after collision on busy Tipperary road

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Cashel late on Sunday night

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Clonmel Road in Cashel, Co Tipperary, late on Sunday night.

According to a statement from Gardaí, the incident occurred at approximately 11:00pm and involved a car and a pedestrian.

Emergency responders attended the scene shortly after the collision was reported.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for injuries believed to be serious.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.

Gardaí confirmed the incident occurred on Sunday evening, March 15th, and investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
