Long-standing ties between Cashel and Casalattico celebrated over the weekend
The Cashel-Casalattico Cultural & Business Weekend celebrated the long-standing ties between Cashel and Casalattico and welcomed a distinguished delegation from Italy for a weekend of civic, cultural and business events in Tipperary.
The visiting delegation included Nicola Faganello, the Ambassador of Italy to Ireland, Gianluca Quadrini, President of the Provincial Council of Frosinone, led the Province of Frosinone delegation, representatives of the Italian Parliament, and ANCI Lazio, local Mayors, business representatives and cultural organisations.

Cashel Chamber of Commerce formally twinned with both the Town of Casalattico and the Province of Frosinone, strengthening links and creating new opportunities for cultural exchange, tourism, education and business cooperation between the two communities.
On Saturday, July 11, a free day of live music and entertainment took place in the Plaza in the centre of Cashel town.

A business networking and cooperation event also took place bringing together Irish and Italian businesses, organisations and public representatives.
The weekend concluded with an evening performance by internationally acclaimed soprano Concetta Pepere at St John the Baptist Parish Church. She has performed before Popes Benedict XVI and Francis, and has appeared in leading operatic roles.
The Cashel Chamber of Commerce said it was "delighted to see the Cashel Cultural & Business Weekend 2026 recognised by the Embassy of Italy in Ireland."
The Chamber also expressed its gratitude to all those who made the weekend possible, saying: "We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the event a success, including our volunteers, businesses, food producers, performers, local organisations and public representatives."
