Tipperary community shattered by the heartbreaking death of Honorary Garda Tadhg Relihan
The community of Clonmel is heartbroken following the death of little Tadhg Relihan, an Honorary Garda.
Tadgh and his twin brother Oisín were born in July 2023 and had been battling a rare genetic condition, myotubular myopathy, since their birth. Little Oisín also sadly passed away in April 2024 at only 9 months old.
The boys' parents Danny and Nicola Relihan, originally from Cork, fought tirelessly to take care of their little boys who spent nearly their entire lives in medical care.
Both Tadgh and Oisín's story spread beyond Clonmel as they were named as honorary members of An Garda Síochána for their bravery and courage.
