LIVE: Four storey derelict building in Tipperary to be turned into retail unit with apartments

Proposal lodged to construct new apartment blocks in Waterford City

Tipperary County Council have approved planning for the refurbishment of a derelict premises with the address 48 O’Connell Street, Clonmel.

Planning documents show plans for the derelict four storey building in the heart of Clonmel's town centre, to be turned into a retail unit with apartments on the upper three floors. 

A retail unit will be opened at ground floor level while the three storey living accommodation will consist of a one bedroom and a two bedroom apartment.

Planning permission has also been granted for the indefinite retention of existing rear stairwell to serve the upper floor living units.
