Tipperary family carers are urged to participate  in fundraising event

A 5k walk will be held in Powerstown Park to raise funds for Family Carers Ireland

The manager of the Clonmel branch of Family Carers Ireland is appealing to people to support the Step Up for Family Carers walk that is being held in Powerstown Park on April 13.

"This event will help raise money and awareness of the support offered by family carers across the county and nationally," said Richie Molloy.

Richie Molloy, Tipperary Carer Supports Manager for Family Carers Ireland, said that the 5k fundraising event is a chance for the people of Tipperary to show their support for family carers.

"I am hoping the people of Clonmel and Tipperary can play their part in this event. We would love to see as many family and extended family of carers take part in the event on the day," said Richie Molloy.
