Shannon Forrest and Declan Malone own 'Rívesci' based in Clonmel

Shannon Forrest and Declan Malone from 'Rívesci', based in Clonmel, have won the Local Food Hero award for Tipperary at this year's Munster Regional Irish Restaurant Awards.

Rívesci (Ree-veh-sea) launched in September 2019 at Clonmel Applefest offering cooked from scratch food from their 1976 vintage caravan.

Co-Founders and husband and wife team, Shannon Forrest and Michelin Star trained Chef, Declan Malone have since turned Rívesci into a multi-award-winning condiment business.

The two officially opened the Rívesci neighbourhood coffee shop & retail store in Clonmel back in 2022.

The Irish Restaurant Awards Munster Regional Final took place this week, celebrating the outstanding contributions of the food and hospitality industry across the province. The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 25, at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Little Island, Cork, where county winners were announced.

As the regional finals continue, anticipation builds for the All-Ireland Awards Gala Dinner, where both regional and overall national winners will be revealed. The grand event is set to take place on Monday, May 19, at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin. County winners from Munster can now secure their tickets for what promises to be a great evening.
