"Clonmel is embarrassing when it comes to getting behind the Tipperary team," says former Nationalist columnist Billy O'Riordan.

In a post on social media ahead of the All-Ireland Final against Cork on July 20, he added: "Apart from Guineys, well done, and a few others, the town is absent of colour, window displays, banners etc.

"It's shocking the indifference and apathy to this teams achievement in even making the final. Our ancestors would turn in their graves."
