LIVE: Planning permission sought for new housing development in Tipperary

A new housing development consisting of ten-homes could be coming to Clonmel, if the council agree to the developers plans for the location.

A new housing development consisting of ten-homes could be coming to Clonmel, if the council agree to the developers plans for the location.

Tipperary County Council recently received a planning application by Greenrise Developments Ltd, which seeks to build a new housing development on Western Road in Clonmel. 

The plans submitted to the council for consideration include the construction of ten residential units.

These ten homes will be made up of two two-bedroom homes, six three-bedroom homes, and two four-bedroom homes.

The development plans include 20 car parking spaces (including one universal access parking bay), short term bicycle parking and public/private open spaces at the location. 

A bat survey was also undertaken as part of this planning application and the conclusion of the survey said that the development poses no significant impact on bats living in the area.

Tipperary County Council have until September 16 to make a decision regarding this application.
