A tattoo convention will be held in Clonmel, bringing the most skilled proponents of the art from Ireland and the UK to Tipperary.
A unique event is being planned by Black Samsara, a Polish woman who came from Poland to Clonmel in 2018 to set up her own tattoo business in Clonmel.

Now she is bringing the top tattoo artists to Clonmel to create a unique family day of entertainment.
The convention will be held at the Hillview Sports Complex on Saturday.
August 9.
The owner of the Ink Smith Tattoo Shop in O’Connell Street said it will be a community event where families will be encouraged to enjoy the fun of the day.
30 of the best tattoo artists in Ireland and the UK have been invited to compete on the day.
“We would like the people of Clonmel and Tipperary to come up to Hillview and have a look at what is going on. There will be plenty of family entertainment on the day and people can see close up the type of work some of the very famous artists can do,
“Children can learn how to do a tattoo, there will be food and family entertainment,” she said.
“Clonmel has so much potential and I thought a convention like this would bring some creativity and spark to the town and get the together involved,” said Black Samsara.
It is a one day event starting at 10am and continuing until 10pm that night.
Black Samsara said they were delighted to host the event.
She felt it would be unusual and she was delighted to bring so many people to Clonmel to see the town and the beauty of the surrounding area.
“The Busking Festival is also on so this tattoo convention should be another a ttraction for people to drop in and have a look at on the day,” she said.
In the build up to the convention the people of Clonmel have been serching all over the town for a bee that has been concealed by Black Samsara and her team.
The person that returns the bee to the O’Connell Street shop will be in with the oppportunity to win a tattoo on the day of the convention.

“The bee has been hidden in all sorts of places, at Patrick’s Well,in Tesco car park and in Lonergans pub and people have beenout searching for it. It is a bit of fun and we hope everybody will enjoy the convention as well,” said Black Samsara.
