This had been on display by the lake for over twenty years. Maureen Purcell, of STAG, led a team of artists to bring their painting back to life. It now hangs proudly in the backyard for the children to enjoy.

The children studied the water birds on the sign, drew pictures, and researched lake wildlife. They recently went on a field trip to Marlfield Lake where they saw the birds in their natural habitat.

Mayor Cllr Pat English unveiled the mural to great excitement. The school community was joined by Maureen Purcell, STAG members and Bernie Lennon of Marlfield village committee.
