Died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of South Infirmary Victoria Hospital Cork with her family by her side.Predeceased by her father William (Billy), sister Tina and infant brother Thomas, forever missed by her loving mother Madeline, partner Gearoid, sons Patrick (Portumna), Brett (Dublin), daughters Amy (Rathcabbin) and Chloe (Louth), their partners Paula, Atila and Shaun, grandchildren Shain, Lucia, Caoimhe and Jax, brothers Ray, Liam, Thomas, Eddie and Brian, sisters, Noreen, Carmel, Veronica, Madeline and Sarah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, colleagues, neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Thursday evening 19th at Sullivan's Funeral Home Main Street Borrisokane from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving on Friday morning to Our Lady Queen of Ireland Rathcabbin at 10.45 am for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Bonoham Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreen Sweetnam (nee Smyth) The Islands, Mullinahone and formerly of Ballythomas, Kinsale, Cork Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Lukes hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late John. Dearly loved mother of Alfred, Frank, Ann (Giles) and Richard. Son in law Richard, and cherished grandmother to Stephen and Cassandra. She will be greatly missed by her nephews and nieces,relatives neighbours, and friends.
Doreen will be fondly remembered by many.

Reposing at her residence The Islands , Mullinahone (E41 RP03) on Thursday June 19th from 4pm to 8pm. A celebration of her life will be held at Kilcooley Abbey Church, (E41YY97) Thurles, Co. Tipperary on Friday June 20th at 2.30pm followed burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the many loyal carers of the HSE & Dovida teams who cared for Doreen in her last precious years with great compassion and kindness.
Collectively all these people enabled Doreen to remain in her home with her family and her loyal dog, Lily, for so long. We will be forever indebted to you all.
