Marcella Sheehy of Sheehy Solicitors, Fethard
Marcella Sheehy of Sheehy Solicitors, Fethard, took home the prestigious title of Munster’s Family Law Lawyer of the Year at an event held at the Clayton Burlington Hotel, Dublin on June 6, 2025.
A panel of experts evaluates all submitted nominations, which are reviewed according to established criteria. The judging process includes two rounds of online assessment, followed by panel meetings to select the finalists and winners.

This prestigious award acknowledges a lawyer’s excellence and expertise in Family Law matters. There were nearly 600 legal professionals from across the country at this award ceremony which was hosted by Anton Savage.
Former President of Ireland, Mrs Mary Robinson was also honoured at this event with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
She was unable to attend the prestigious event and instead she received her award earlier that day.
The 1,000 strong audience watched her acceptance by a personal video message as she spoke about her Lifetime Achievements in law as a courageous advocate of human rights.
It was the second year in a row that Marcella won an award.

Marcella achieved the title of Munster’s Sole Principal Lawyer of the Year at the event in 2024.
Marcella spoke of the delight at having won such a huge award two years in a row. Marcella is delighted with this accolade.
“It is an honour to win this such a distinguished award”.
Since becoming Sole Principal of Manton Solicitors in March 2019, the office continues to expand.
To facilitate this growth and expansion of the business and team, the new office at Academy House, Main Street, Fethard opened its doors in January 2024.
Marcella thanked those who had nominated her for this award and her hard-working team at Sheehy Solicitors.
