CONGRATS! Local Tipperary writer Dylan Lyons wins prestigious international literary prize

Award-winning writer Dylan Lyons from Fethard

Heartfelt congratulations to Dylan Lyons from Fethard, County Tipperary, who has won the Energheia Ireland Literary Prize – a prestigious national award celebrating emerging literary talent.

Dylan was one of three shortlisted finalists, and his story captured the judges’ attention with its originality, insight, and strong narrative voice.

A former student of Patrician Presentation Secondary School, Fethard, Dylan went on to study Law at Maynooth University.

He is currently travelling through Central America and was honoured to learn of his win while abroad.

As part of this remarkable achievement, Dylan has been invited to take part in an international creative writing workshop/ceremony in Matera, Italy later this year.

This is a proud moment for Dylan, his family, and the wider Fethard community.
